Post Baseball Set For Unique Exhibition Game Later This Season

WATERBURY, Conn. - Post University Baseball (10-12, 8-3 CACC) will square off against an unfamiliar opponent on April 22 - The New Britain Bees.

The Bees are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball with teams such as the Somerset Patriots, Long Island Ducks and the Sugar Land Skeeters. The league is not affiliated with Major League Baseball.

"It's our players goals to play professionally," head coach of Post Baseball Ray Ricker said. "This gives them an up-close look at what it takes going against professional players."

The Bees currently have eight players on their roster who have played at least one Major League Baseball game, with just about everyone else playing as high as AAA.

The game will be free admission for anyone who would look to attend. It will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be played at New Britain Stadium: 230 John Karbonic Way in New Britain, CT 06051.

"It will be a great day for the post baseball program and the post university community," Coach Ricker concluded.

Please come down to New Britain Stadium on Monday, April 22 to help support the baseball team.
