WATERBURY, Conn. - The Eagles played their fourth game in just seven days when they took on Saint Thomas Aquinas College at LaMoy Field.Â
Morgan Cassiliano scored the game's opening goal to put the Eagles up 1-0.Â
Savannah Schwack went on to score the Eagles next three goals and put Post up 4-2 in the first 15 minutes of play.Â
Julia Thomas scored the Eagles next goal after STAC tied the game at 4-4. This was Thomas' first goal of the 2019 season.Â
With the Eagles up 5-4, Cassiliano and Schwack each scored one more goal in the first half.Â
STAC would also go on to score two more goals in the opening half. Post took a slim 7-6 lead into halftime.Â
The lead switched back and forth in the beginning of the second half until STAC strung together four straight goals to take a five goal lead.Â
Cassilano answered with a goal to stop the streak and bring the deficit back to four, but the Eagles would be held scoreless for the remainder of the game.Â
Schwack's five goals gives her 13 in the last two games and 14 on the season.Â
Cassilano now has two consecutive games with five goals and leads the team with 15 goals this season.Â
Post will return to play a week from today when they take on Southern Connecticut State University at LaMoy field on Thursday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m.
