WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's lacrosse team looks for back-to-back wins on Thursday as it visits Dominican. The Eagles are coming off their second win of the season last weekend against Notre Dame de Namur. Dominican's is 0-3 on the year and its last victory came over the Eagles a year ago.

Luke McDermott (New Milford, Conn.) got the comeback started with his third goal of the game just 38 seconds into the final quarter off an assist from classmate
Kyle Shannon (Stanhope, N.J.) to cut the deficit to 7-6.

Frank Nichols Jr. (Oceanside, Calif.) tied the game with his first of two goals on the day with 12:09 left. The Eagles quickly took the lead for the first time since the first quarter just 30 seconds later as junior
Colby Treat (Penn Yan, N.Y.) beat the keeper to make the score 8-7.
Notre Dame tied the game with 8:42 left, but Treat found McDermott and sophomore
Trevor Buchas (Bristol, Conn.) for back-to-back goals to put the Eagles back in front 10-8. The Argonauts added a late score, but Nichols Jr. and Buchas answered back to put the game away.
SCOUTING THE CHARGERSDominican enters Thursday's game at 0-3 on the year, falling to Roberts Wesleyan 16-7 last time. The Chargers have also lost to two common opponents of the Eagles in Franklin Pierce and Notre Dame de Namur. Hunter Curran leads the squad with four goals on the year. Jimmy Anderson had three goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Carlos Villaman is eighth in the nation at a .592 save percentage. Last season Dominican held off a late comeback by Post to win 9-8 in Waterbury.
TOP ROOKIETrevor Buchas was named ECAC Division II Rookie of the Week on March 17. It was the first time in program history a student-athlete has received an award from the conference. Buchas led the team with six goals, and was second with two assists and seven ground balls as the Eagles went 1-1 on the week.

th in the nation in shot percentage at 0.500. He has scored a team-high 19 goals on just 38 shots. Buchas is also 11

th at 5.83 ground balls per contest. As a team, the Eagles are 16

Andrew Supanich will lead the team this year. Beatson, Kearney, and Supanich also served as captains last season.
PLAYING SOME OF THE BESTThe Eagles will be playing some tough competition this season. Post will play three teams ranked in the USILA Preseason Poll and one that received votes. The Eagles host #12 Dowling to open the season. Post will also welcome #3 LIU-Post to LaMoy on March 25. The Eagles visit #14 Molloy on April 8 and host Chestnut Hill to close out the year on April 25. The Griffins received votes in the poll.
NORTHEAST CLASSICOn Oct. 12, the Eagles participated in the Northeast Classic Lacrosse Tournament in Braintree, Mass. and played exhibition games against Saint Rose and UMass-Boston. All proceeds from the tournament were donated to cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Mass.
