Box Score WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's lacrosse team fell at home to Philadelphia 16-5 on Sunday afternoon. Junior
Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) scored three times and had one assist in the loss.
The Rams had control of the game from the start as they jumped out to an 11-0 lead. Libby Nichols scored four goals during the stretch. Polaski won the ensuing draw and finally put the Eagles on the board on a free position shot with 4:45 remaining in the first half. Post trailed 12-1 at the break.
Post gained possession early in the second half off a turnover by Philadelphia and junior
Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) picked up a ground ball and cleared it to the offensive zone. Polaski beat the keeper for the second time on the day to cut the deficit to 12-2.
Philadelphia scored twice more before the Eagles put two in the net. Polaski scored her third of the day with 18:05 left. She later found Baez with a pass from behind the net for goal to make the score 14-4. Senior
Morgan Kanavy (Syracuse, N.Y.) picked up a ground ball in front of the net and scored the final Post goal.

Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) made 14 saves on the day. The Eagles grabbed 19 ground balls on the afternoon led by Polaski and Baez with five and four, respectively.
Post is back in action on Tuesday, April 15 at home against Bridgeport. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m.
