Eagles Women’s Lacrosse Defeated By Dominican

Levy and Kallmann Record First Career Points

HILLBURN, N.Y. – The Post University women's lacrosse team fell to Dominican, 20-8, on Saturday at the Torne Valley Complex in Hillburn, N.Y. The Eagles fall to 3-6 overall and 3-3 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
 
After falling behind early 6-0, senior Morgan Kanavy (Syracuse, N.Y.) scored her 11th goal of the year. The Chargers answered back with two quick goals to pull ahead 8-1 with 20:35 left in the first half.
 
From there the Eagles climbed back into the game scoring five of the next six goals to pull within three. Freshman Kerrin Kallmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) found sophomore Jasana Levy (Meriden, Conn.) for a score with 13:30 left for the first career points for the two newcomers. Sophomore Jessica Lavelle (Thurmont, Md.) scored her first goal of the season with 11:47 left to make the score 9-6.
 
Junior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) scored her 20th of the season with 8:23 remaining in the half but Post trailed 15-7 at the break. She added her third goal of the game in the second half. Polaski has scored three goals in six of Post's nine games this year.
 
Senior Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) made 16 saves on the day. Post grabbed 11 ground balls and 13 draw controls.
 
The Eagles return home on Wednesday, April 2 for a CACC contest against Georgian Court. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
