LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Post University women's lacrosse team was defeated at Georgian Court 19-6 on Thursday afternoon to snap its two-game win streak. Junior
Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) scored three goals for the Eagles.

The Lions quickly jumped in front 4-0 to start the game, Callie Brown scored twice for Georgian Court in the first five minutes. Polaski put the Eagles on the board with 23:14 left in the half to close the gap to 4-1. Georgian Court began to pull away from there as it built an 11-1 advantage. Polaski scored her second of the game with 5:50 remaining, but the Lions took a 12-2 lead into the break.

The teams traded goals over the first 20 minutes of the second half. Sophomore
Isatu Bangura (Elmont, N.Y.), senior
Meghan Diggett (East Islip, N.Y.), and Polaski tallied scores for the Eagles as they trailed 14-5.

Diggett picked up a ground ball after a turnover by the Lions with 5:41 left and found the back of the net for the second time on the day off an assist by Polaski to close the gap to 16-6.

Post was 5-for-6 on clear attempts on the day and forced seven turnovers. Senior
Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) made 13 saves in the net.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, March 22 at Holy Family. Game time is set for 11 a.m.
