WATERBURY, Conn. – With the score tied with 43 seconds remaining, Hunter Curran scored his fourth goal of the game to give Dominican a 9-8 victory over Post on Wednesday afternoon at LaMoy Field. The Eagles outshot the Chargers 51-24 on the afternoon.

The Chargers started to pull away after halftime with three straight goals in the first 10 minutes. Curran found the back of the net twice for Dominican as it built a 6-3 lead. Junior
Brian Beatson (Fairfax, Va.) closed the deficit to two on a goal with 4:53 remaining in the quarter. Dominican led 7-4 after three quarters.

Freshman
Tim Wright (Waterloo, N.Y.) scored twice and assisted on another as the Eagles battled back to tie the score 7-7 with 9:27 left in the game. Post found itself a man-down after a slashing penalty and the Chargers capitalized on the extra-man opportunity to pull ahead 8-7.

After a timeout by Dominican with 3:53 left, freshman
Troy Walters (Corning, N.Y.) forced a turnover to give Post an offensive opportunity. Shannon beat the keeper for his second goal of the game to tie the score 8-8 with 2:29 remaining.

The Chargers won the ensuing faceoff and had two attempts to take the lead, but freshman goalkeeper
Matt Castellvi (Bellmore, N.Y.) made two saves and the Eagles gained possession. Post turned the ball over out of a timeout with 1:10 left and Dominican cleared the ball and scored the winning goal. The Eagles had two chances to tie in the final seconds.
