WATERBURY, Conn. – After playing its first home game on the field at American International in Springfield, Mass., the Post University men's lacrosse team welcomes the Yellow Jackets to LaMoy Field for its first true home game in program history on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles are coming off a 13-7 victory over Ohio Valley last Friday.

Eagles scored six times in the first quarter against Ohio Valley on Friday to pick up their first win in their first-ever game. Freshmen
Alex Brownlee (Syracuse, N.Y.) and
Kyle Shannon (Stanhope, N.J.) each scored three times in the victory.

Post got on the board early and often in the first, beginning with a goal by sophomore
Shane McKay (Hempstead, N.Y.) with 12:36 left in the quarter. After a turnover by Ohio Valley, the Eagles peppered the cage with shots until junior
Andrew Supanich (Jackson, Va.) found the back of the net to put Post in front 2-0. Supanich added his second goal minutes later as Post scored three times in the final two minutes of the quarter to jump ahead 6-0 after one.

Freshman
Jack Kearney (Sandy Hook, Conn.) found Brownlee for his second score early in the third as the Eagles led 9-3. Ohio Valley did not go away, scoring four straight and found itself down 9-7 with 13:20 left to play.

The Fighting Scots nearly closed the gap to one late with, but two shots hit the post and the Eagles gained possession. Brownlee game Post some breathing room with a goal in front with 6:52 left. Post added three more scores, including a man-down goal by McKay, before time expired.

SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
American International enters Tuesday at a record of 0-1 on the season after falling to Roberts Wesleyan 16-11 in its opener last Friday. The Yellow Jackets were selected to finish 12
th in the Northeast-10 Preseason Poll and have lost 13 games in a row dating back to last season. Justin Bard leads the team with four goals and three groundballs.

FLYING WITH A YOUNG SQUAD
The Eagles young roster is comprised of just nine upperclassmen led by team captains, juniors Brian Baatson (Fairfax, Va.),
Matt Edwin (Stamford, Conn.),
Andrew Supanich (Jackson, Va.); and senior
Angel Lastra (Wharton, N.J.). Freshman defender
Jack Kearney (Sandy Hook, Conn.) is also a captain.

PLAYING SOME OF THE BEST
The Eagles will be playing some tough competition in their first season. Post has games scheduled with three teams ranked in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Preseason Top 15. The Eagles are at Dowling (No. 10) on April 9 and Chestnut Hill (No. 15) on April 15. Post will host No. 6 NYIT in its season finale on April 25.

NORTHEAST CLASSIC
While Friday was Post's first official game, the team has squared off against NCAA competition in the past. On Oct. 12, the Eagles participated in the Northeast Classic Lacrosse Tournament and played exhibition games against Southern New Hampshire, New England College, and St. Michael's. All proceeds from the tournament were donated to cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Mass.

Post hits the road to face Shorter on Saturday, March 1 in Rome, Ga. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
