Women’s Lacrosse Falls To Georgian Court, Baez Scores Three Goals

Eryka Baez Records Third Multi-Goal Game Of The Season

LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Post University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Georgian Court, 19-6, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Tuesday night. Sophomore Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) led the Eagles with three goals, her third multi-goal game of the season and one assist.
 
Freshman Jordyn Woltmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) scored two goals a controlled one draw.  Sophomore Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) scored her team-high 24th goal of the season to go along with five draw controls and one ground ball. Sophomore Brianna Docimo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and junior Meghan Diggett (East Islip, N.Y.) also added assists.
 
Georgian Court put the game away early with 10 consecutive goals to begin the game. Polaski found the back of the net at 10:58 to end the stretch. The Lions responded with four more goals to go into the break ahead 14-1.
 
Baez and Woltmann scored back-to-back goals at 18:11 and 16:29 in the second half to pull the score to 17-4. After two more Georgian Court goals, Woltmann and Baez closed out the game with two more scores, with the final goal coming with nine seconds left.
 
The Eagles held a 10-9 advantage in draw controls on the day. Post scored on one of its four free-position attempts. Molly McCourt led Georgian Court with five goals.
 
Post will be back in action on Saturday, April 6 at Philadelphia. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
