Post University Women's Lacrosse Loses Close Game 12-10 to Chestnut Hill

PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 30, 2010) Post University's Women's Lacrosse team lost a close game to Chestnut Hill College on Tuesday afternoon 12-10. The Eagles are now 0-7 on the season, while the Griffins improve to 2-3.

Post University's Kathryn Price scored 5 goals for the Eagles. Tiffany Neuendorf added two goals and an assist. Chestnut Hill's Maryanne Glass scored 3, while Carley Glass netted 2. 

In the first half, the Griffins controlled play scoring seven unanswered goals. Sara Cramer netted the first marker of the game for the Eagles with 11:14 to play in the half. Chestnut Hill would then respond with a goal from Kelly McKay, before Price scored with just over five minutes to play in the half. 

With an 8-2 halftime score, Chestnut Hill scored two more goals to open the lead to 10-2 within the first 1:30 of the second half. Price would break the string of goals with an unassisted goal making it 10-3. 

With just over twenty minutes to play in the game, the Eagles went on a 5-0 scoring run. First it was Kaitlyn Montgomery with a free position attempt, followed by an unassisted goal from Neuendorf. Kenyese Benn then chipped in with an unassisted goal, along with two more goals from Price. At this point, the Eagles cut into the lead making it 11-8.

Chestnut Hill scored one more goal from Christin Squillante. In the final minute of play, Price and Neuendorf each netted one more for a final score of 12-10.

Post University will be back in action again on Saturday at Philadelphia.
