NEW CASTLE, DE (March 27, 2010) Post University's Women's Lacrosse team fell to Wilmington University on Saturday afternoon 20-3 in conference play. The Eagles are now 0-6 this season. With the win, Wilmington improves to 3-1 in the CACC and 6-2 overall, while Post dropped to 0-4 in the conference and 0-6 on the season.
Post University was led by Samantha Silver's two goals, while Kathryn Price chipped in with a single goal Susan Curran and Korie Happy each added assists for the Eagles. Michelle Chadwick recorded nine saves in defeat
Wilmington University jumped out to a 12-0 lead at halftime. Post University would score their three goals at even strength within the final 15 minutes of play. First it was Silver who scored with a Curran assist.
Then after a Wildcat goal, Price found the back of the net for an unassisted goal. Silver would score the final goal of the contest with 1:02 to play in the game as Happy was credited with the assist.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday afternoon, when they travel to take on the Chestnut Hill.
