Women's Lacrosse Loses to Georgian Court 24-2

LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 25, 2010) Post University's Women's Lacrosse team lost a conference match up against Georgian Court Thursday afternoon 24-2. The Eagles now stand at 0-5 on the season, while the Lions improve to 6-1.
Tiffany Neuendorf and Samantha Silver were both credited with goals in the effort. Theresa Bengtson picked up one assist. Lauren Conaty and Daryl Carr scored four goals each for the Lions.
Georgian Court jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first one minute thirty seconds with two goals from Carr. Just 2:31 into the first half, Neuendorf found the back of the net with an unassisted goal making it 2-1.
The Eagles second goal came with 2:04 to play in the half when Bengtson found Silver for the even strength score. At halftime though, the Lions controlled with a 16-2 lead.
In the second half, Georgian Court scored 8 unanswered goals en route to a 24-2 victory.
Post University will be back in action again at Wilmington on Saturday.
