Post University Athletics

Jon Lucky is the first graduate student at Post University to play Men's Basketball in the history of the program. Jon is a local player from Waterbury, and was a top 150 recruit out of Sacred Heart High School. He played 3 years at the University of Rhode Island at the Division I level in the Atlamtic 10 Conference. During his three years at Rhode Island, Lucky averaged 6.5 ppg, 4.5 apg, and 3 rpg. 

He graduated with a degree in communications, with one year of eligidbilty remaining after suffering an injury.  

Lucky's best asset is the ability to make the players around him better and has become an extension of the coaching staff out on the floor.

“Jon is poised to have a great year and will help lead our basketball program this season," said Mike Donnelly, Post University Men's Basketball Head Coach. "He has worked hard this summer to get back into basketball shape and is finally healthy. Jon has a great feel for the game and will provide outstanding leadership both on and off the court.”
