CONCORD, N.H. – Graduate student
Joe Ensign moved up 28 spots in the final round of the Penmen Season Finale on Saturday morning for Post University Men's Golf, finishing tied for seventh overall at two-under-par, as the Eagles moved up to third overall in the event at one-under-par, while the B team closed in 11th-place at 36-over-par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ensign's top-ten finish saw him close just seven strokes off the individual winner in Mitchell Archer from Adelphi University, who was nine-under-par, narrowly beating out his teammate in Francis Lanuza for the crown, while a third Panther in Zeus Sara was third overall at five-under-par. In the team standings, Adelphi ran away with the event, finishing 28-under-par as a team, while Bentley University moved into second at six-under-par, and the Eagles rounded out the top three at one-under-par.
Just behind Ensign, who was four-under-par in the second round, were both freshman
Phillip Granum and
Luis Reina in a tie for tenth with identical one-over-par scores today, closing out at one-over-par overall. Rounding out the five on the A team for Post were freshman
Gavin Giroux and
Braden Shea, who finished tied for 25th and 28th, respectively, as Giroux was three-over-par after shooting two-over-par today, while Shea was four-over-par following a two-over-par finish.
On the B team, junior
Flo Schimek was tied with Giroux in 25th, as he was three-over-par in the event with a three-over-par second round, while senior
Nathan Leonard's seven-over-par in day two landed him tied for 43rd-place at eight-over-par. Towards the bottom of the leaderboard were senior
Eric Forte at 14-over-par in a tie for 61st and sophomore
Jack O'Brien at 15-over-par in a tie for 63rd, while freshman
Edward Grinvalsky rounded things out in 67th at 20-over-par.
