CONCORD, N.H. -- Sending everyone up to New Hampshire this weekend, Post University Men's Golf had a pair of teams competing in the 2026 Penmen Finale, with the A Team finishing in fourth place at one-under-par, while the B team finished tied for 10th at nine-over-par. In the top three of the event after the first round, Adelphi University led the pack at 13-under-par, holding a ten-stroke lead over Dominican (N.Y.) at three-under-par, followed by Saint Anselm College at one-under-par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a pair of freshman leading the pack for the Eagles as both
Phillip Granum and
Luis Reina were tied for seventh with ten total golfers at two-under-par, in an event that was led by Assumption's independent golfer in Ryan Willey at six-under-par, while three golfers in Brady Warren from Saint Anselm, along with Francis Lanuza and Mitchell Archer, were all tied for second at four-under-par.
Moving down the list, junior
Flo Schimek, who competed for Post's B team, sat in a tie for 23rd at even with par, while his senior teammate,
Nathan Leonard, alongside A team freshman
Gavin Giroux, were tied for 28th at one-over-par. Junior
Braden Shea and graduate student
Joe Ensign were both tied for 35th-place at two-over-par; meanwhile, freshman
Edward Grinvalsky and sophomore
Jack O'Brien were just behind that duo in a tie for 53rd-place at four-over-par.
Senior
Eric Forte, who just joined the team this spring, was the final Eagle player to finish in the standings at eight-over-par, tied for 65th overall.
