MILFORD, Conn. – Closing out the final round of their first event of the season, Post University Men's Golf ended the SHU Fall Classic moving up a spot as a team to finish 11th with a 68-over-par score after three rounds. Maintaining their edge from the first two rounds, Rhode Island came out on top by four strokes over Sacred Heart University's A Team and Fairfield University at eight-over-par, who tied for second at 12-over-par, followed by Manhattan University and the University of New Haven in a fourth-place tie at 38-over-par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Graduate student
Joe Ensign nearly matched his 73 from round two yesterday, finishing with a 74 to end the event with a 225 overall, which was nine-over-par and good for a 17th-place tie. Ensign was 13 strokes off the pace of winners Luke Stennett of Rhode Island and Rasmus Ditzinger from Fairfield, who tied for first at six-under-par, while Pablo Locayo from Sacred Heart finished third at three-under-par.
Freshman
Gavin Giroux ended his first collegiate event with a 15-over-par, putting together his best round of the SHU Fall Classic with a score of 70, capping off the two-day event with a 15-over-par in a tie for 38th place. Junior
Braden Shea finished round three with the median of his first two rounds at 78, tying for 57th place at 22-over-par.

Nathan Leonard finished tied for 66th place and 77th place, closing with a 27-over-par and a 37-over-par after rounds of 89 and 90, respectively.
