HOW IT HAPPENED
Heading into Tuesday, Dominican (N.Y.) held the lead by three strokes over Southern New Hampshire at 10-over-par, but a 26-over-par performance on day two sunk them to fourth place with an overall team score of 36-over-par. Meanwhile, performing almost identically to a day ago, the Penmen were 14-over-par finishers to snag the lead and stave off the Eagles after their impressive round. Luis Reina and
Gavin Giroux, who were listed as independents for the invite, tied for seventh with seven-under-par scores, followed by junior
Braden Shea just one stroke back of them at eight-over-par in a tie for tenth.
