WATERBURY, Conn. -- Graduating just months ago from Post University, former defenseman
Trey Deloury from the Post University Men's Ice Hockey program signed his first professional contract with the nearby Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) this week, getting put on a PTO contract for the 2025-26 season.
Deloury spent four seasons with the Eagles, playing in 91 games in which he had four goals and 25 assists for 29 total points, including two power-play goals. During his senior season this past winter, Deloury played in 26 games, recording six assists as the Eagles finished the season 11-16-0 overall and 9-11-0 in conference play. The 11-win mark tied the program for the most single-season wins, while the nine conference wins were a new program record for Post.
In his career, Deloury tallied a program-record 127 blocked shots, surpassing his former teammate, Nick Brewer's record of 116 blocked shots set from 2019-24. The Andover, Massachusetts native also holds the single-season record for blocked shots with 51 during his senior season. Academically, Deloury earned NE10 All-Academic Team honors during both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons as well as Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholar recognition in 2021-22.
The Danbury Hat Tricks will kick off their 2025-26 campaign on Friday, October 10th at 7:30 PM against the Port Huron Prowlers at the Danbury Ice Arena.
