WATERBURY, Conn. -- Coming off of their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Game appearance since 2018, Post University Women's Volleyball has been picked to finish third in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll for the North Division after receiving 34 points and one first-place vote as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
Last season, the Eagles entered the year picked to finish fourth with one first-place vote before going on to win their first CACC North Division title since 2018 with a conference record of 13-3 after earning the tiebreaker over the University of Bridgeport in the standings. Post rolled through Goldey-Beacom College and Dominican (N.Y.) in the first two rounds of the CACC Tournament before falling in straight sets to Georgian Court University in the CACC Championship Game, 3-0.
The Purple Knights were picked to win the North Division this season with 46 points and six first-place votes, followed by Dominican (N.Y.) with 40 points and four first-place votes. Felician University and Caldwell University rounded out the five North teams at 25 points and 15 points, respectively. In the South Division, Jefferson University was picked to win with 51 points and six first-place votes, while the defending champion Lions had 44 points and two first-place votes. Also garnering two first-place votes in addition to their 39 points was Goldey-Beacom College, while Holy Family University received the other first-place vote in fourth place with 33 points. Chestnut Hill College and Wilmington University were picked to finish fifth and sixth with 31 points and 27 points, respectively.
The Eagles kick off their 2025 season at the Long Island Invitational, spanning two days across two cities, starting with two games on Friday, September 5th, against Queens College at 11:00 AM and Assumption University at 1:30 PM in Flushing, New York.
