Recruit Report: Nine New Additions Encompass Interim Head Coach Brandon Brown's 2025-26 Women's Ice Hockey Squad

Recruit Report takes a look at all the incoming student-athletes for each program ahead of their 2025-26 athletic season and highlights all incoming student-athletes who filled out the recruitment form available to them during the summer of their first season at Post University.

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Only four months ago, Brandon Brown was named the Interim Head Coach for Post University Women's Ice Hockey, and now just 38 days sit between the Eagles and their 2025-26 season opener at home against the University of St. Thomas on September 20th at the Sports Center of Connecticut. Adding nine new players, Brown will look to take Post back to the NEWHA Semifinals and beyond, after they made their first-ever semifinals appearance following a sweep of Franklin Pierce University in the best-of-three NEWHA Quarterfinals last season. 

Alexia Tutino
Most recently playing for Rice Memorial Prep in the USHS, Alexia Tutino appeared in five games during the NGHL Championship earlier this year as a defenseman. Tutino's Junior Women's Hockey League statistics span two years, in which she has played 27 games with four assists. She has also spent time with the Laval-Montreal Rebelles Bantam AA, Rebelles M18 AA, and Amazones M18 AAA Women's Hockey teams to the tune of 22 games. 

Kai Hyatt
Looking to add to the scoring depth for the Eagles this season, Kai Hyatt comes in from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Fort Erie International Academy, while playing her club hockey for Fort Erie International Academy's U22 Falcons. During the 2024-25 season, Hyatt became the first-ever captain in school history of the hockey team and was the all-time points and games played leader in her first three years with the program. Part of what was a start-up team back in 2022, Hyatt is responsible for the Falcons U22 team's first-ever goal and was selected to the Team Canada Ball Hockey Team for the U20 World Championships in Slovakia. Playing for the Aboriginal Team Manitoba at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships, Hyatt won the Gold Medal with the team. 

Alex Young
Adding some depth at goaltender, Alex Young played club hockey for both the Connecticut Junior Rangers U19 Tier 1 team in 2024-25 after spending two seasons with the U18AA Thunder Bay Queens Tier 1 team. In high school at Westgate Collegiate & Vocational Institute, Young was a three-time SSSAA High School Hockey Champion from 2022-24, while setting a number of records with her club teams. In her first season with Thunder Bay, Young won the Team Integral Hockey Award for the team that finished in the top eight of the Ontario Provincial Championships while she was 10-10-1 with a 1.60 goals against average, .949 save percentage, and nine shutouts. In year two, Thunder Bay was ranked 17th nationally and provincially ranked sixth as the team would win the Durham West U18AA North American Showcase Championship and be top eight in the Ontario Provincial Championships. That season, Young was named Team MVP after going 15-12-1 with a 1.68 goals against average, .957 save percentage, two assists, and 12 shutouts in 28 games. For 2024-25, Young was part of the first win, shutout, assist, and shootout win in the program's history. 

Georgia Stevens
Another forward for Brown's squad, Georgia Stevens, brings her talents from JL Ilsley High School and Halifax, Nova Scotia. During her time there, Stevens played in 14 games, scoring eight goals with four assists and a power-play goal overall. Playing for two different club teams, Stevens was a captain for the CIR Junior Rangers, where she played 67 games total, but across the games in which statistics were kept, she played 42 games in which she scored 14 goals with 20 assists for 34 points. As part of the Action Benefit Penguins U18AAA team, Stevens played 32 games, scoring 16 times and assisting on eight goals for a total of 24 points during the regular season, while during seven games in the playoffs, having one goal and two assists. 

Callie Peterson
A three-sport athlete in high school, Callie Peterson hails from Savage, Minnesota, and attended Shakopee High School, where she played defenseman in hockey, but also ran on the Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Academically, Peterson was a High Honors graduate with a 3.9 weighted GPA who achieved National Honors Society Letters in 2024 and 2025. Athletically, she garnered three varsity letters in Cross Country along with one in Track & Field as well as an All-Conference Honorable Mention for Cross Country in 2021. Playing for the Otters club team, Peterson earned four letters to go along with her three All-Conference Honorable Mentions and was the captain during her senior season. 

Tallulah Cameron
Playing for the Connecticut Junior Rangers as a defenseman for her club hockey and coming from John Maland High School in Canada, Tallulah Cameron was a three-time Honor Roll student as part of her playing career in high school.

Emma Hoen
A transfer student from Lindenwood University, Emma Hoen, spent two seasons playing for the Lions on defense. Hoen appeared in 62 games, recording one goal and 15 assists for 16 total points, including an 11-assist campaign during the 2023-24 season. The junior resides in Maple Grove, Minnesota. 

Anna Brannare
A member of the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite club team, Anna Brannare is another addition on the defensive side of the puck for Post and attended Wheeling Park High School while residing in Tridelphia, West Virginia. Brannare was a two-time Boys Varsity All-Star as well as a Girl's Varsity Soccer Honorable Mention, and academically was a High Honor Roll student who earned the Josh Merriman Hockey Scholarship. 

Peyton Tully
Coming to Post to play both hockey and Women's Lacrosse, Peyton Tully comes in as one of the top players in the history of the programs she has been a part of. On the hockey side of the coin, Tully played for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite team, where she was among the top point leaders for the U19 program in 2025. She exited her time with the team ranking 15th all-time in points per game, 10th all-time in single-season points, 20th all-time in single-season goals, and 12th all-time in single-season assists.
