WATERBURY, Conn. -- Making strides on and off the ice this season, Post University Men's Ice Hockey earned its second Northeast-10 Academic Team Excellence Award in program history, reaching a 3.77 GPA for the entire 2024-25 academic year, surpassing the 2022-23 mark they set en route to their first Academic Team Excellence Award, when they had a 3.46 GPA that season.
The award comes on the heels of nearly every single player being eligible for the NE10 Honor Roll in the fall as well as the soon-to-be released NE10 Honor Roll for the spring as 30 of a possible 31 players were named to the Honor Roll in the fall, while 29 of 31 were eligible for it in the spring as they achieved GPAs over a 3.00 average.

The Eagles posted a 3.81 GPA as a team in the fall before going for a 3.71 GPA in the spring, averaging out to a 3.77 GPA overall based on the number of hours attempted and total quality points achieved as a team this year.
Post University is scheduled to get its 2025-26 campaign underway against Western Connecticut State University at home on Saturday, November 1st at a time to-be-determined, after finishing this past season 11-16-0 with a 9-11-0 record in conference play before bowing out of the NE10 Tournament's First Round against fourth-seeded Assumption on the road in a 3-0 loss.
