WATERBURY, Conn. -- On Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams were announced for Softball across all three NCAA Divisions and the NAIA. Post University Softball netted the maximum number of players allowed to qualify, with five.
In Head Coach 
Julie Meyer-Jones' fourth season at the helm, senior right-hander 
Alyssa Hughes, senior infielder 
Brooke Dickenson, senior catcher 
Brianna Hynds, sophomore left-hander 
Devin Barnett, and sophomore utility player 
Allysa Calabrese all made the list for the CSC Academic All-District Team. 
In order to qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better and the position players must have competed in at least 90% of team games played OR have started at least 66% of the total number of team games played while pitchers must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.
Of the five honorees, only one of the honorees achieved a perfect cumulative 4.00 GPA in Hughes.  
Hughes and Dickenson both earned CSC Academic All-District last season, while this is the first appearance for Hynds, Barnett, and Calabrese, as they all fit the criteria to qualify for the honor.
