WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the fourth consecutive year, Post University Baseball landed a player on the D2CCA All-Region Team as senior third baseman Justin Rivera continued to rake in the postseason accolades, getting named to the Second Team as announced by the organization on Monday morning.

Rivera is the seventh player all-time to be named to a D2CCA All-Region Team, joining Brennan Holligan, Jaylen Kelley, Matt Goehrig, Robert Olah, Nick Arnold, and two-time recipient Rosario Missiti on the list. Only two players from Post have been named First Team All-Region by D2CCA in Goehrig back in 2022, as well as Missiti in 2019. 

Over the last two weeks, Rivera has now been named D2CCA All-Region Second Team, NCBWA All-East Region Second Team, and CACC All-Conference First Team. The third baseman's final season finished with him recording a .360 batting average across 48 games played this season. Rivera was tied for the team lead with 63 hits to go along with his 14 doubles, three home runs, and team-high 55 runs batted in throughout the 26-25 campaign for Post. Rivera's on-base percentage came in at .415 with a .491 slugging percentage and .906 OPS during a season in which he recorded his 150th collegiate hit between his time as an Eagle and with Bloomfield College. Rivera finishes his collegiate career with 194 total hits, 108 of which came at Post.

This is the first time Rivera has been named to the D2CCA All-East Region Team.
