ERIE, Penn. -- The 2024-25 season came to an end for Post University Men's Golf in their fourth consecutive NCAA Regional on Saturday afternoon as the Eagles finished 15th out of 20 teams with an 89-over-par score, falling well below the cut line to qualify for the NCAA National Championship. Atop the standings in a tie for first were Gannon and Davis & Elkins at 24-over-par, while Charleston (WV) closed out the top three at 39-over-par following the third and final round.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Holding onto his lead atop the individual leaderboard was Aiden Talent from Davis & Elkins, securing the individual title with a three-under-par regional, followed by Gannon's Rasmus Seppanen in second at two-under-par, and Nolan Skaggs of St. Thomas Aquinas College in third at even par. Post's top golfer was still senior Joe Ensign when all was set and done. He finished tied for 14th overall at nine over par after finishing three over par in the final round.
Junior Nathan Leonard manufactured his best round of the three-day event, closing at five-over-par to tie for 53rd place at 20-over-par overall, while sophomore Flo Schimek struggled in the final day, dropping 24 spots after finishing 17-over-par in round three and 32-over-par overall in a tie for 80th place. Right behind Schimek was junior Miles Maresch at 34-over-par as he had an identical finish in round three as he did in round two at 12-over-par, going to 34-over-par to end the weekend.
Sophomore Braden Shea, who golfed the final two rounds as the fifth golfer for Post, was 11-over-par, dropping his total down nine strokes from the second round when he finished 20-over-par, but as a substitute for freshman Brandon Frye after round one, he does not qualify for the leaderboard.
