MANCHESTER, N.H. – Junior
Miles Maresch and sophomore
Flo Schimek both finished tied for the best scores of the Penmen Season Finale for Post University Men's Golf as the duo finished tied for 10th with a five-over-par finish, helping the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the event, which was won by host school Southern New Hampshire University by 19 strokes with an even par outing.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sean Dully and Sam Maurice tied for the individual title, both of whom competed for the Penmen, while a trio of golfers in Brandon Vitarisi from Saint Anselm College, Jack Pepin from Southern New Hampshire, and Kyle Puchol of Assumption University all tied for third. On the team leaderboard, Dominican (N.Y.) was the runner-up to the Penmen, tying with Saint Anselm College with a team score of 19-over-par.
The B Team for Assumption placed fourth, two strokes ahead of the Eagles at 22-over-par, as Post was 24-over-par, narrowly holding off Assumption's A Team at 26-over-par for the two-day event. Beyond Maresch and Schimek, who both finished the second day four-over-par, senior
Joe Ensign was tied for 15th at six-over-par, slightly ahead of junior
Nathan Leonard at eight-over-par, who tied for 21st place.
Sophomore
Braden Shea and freshman
Brandon Frye both tied for 32nd with 16-over-par scores, while Frye's score counted towards the team total as one of the five golfers, and Shea golfed for the Eagles as an independent entry. Post will now look towards the NCAA Regionals, which get underway in Erie, Pennsylvania in about two weeks from now.
