WATERBURY, Conn. -- Senior
Joe Ensign was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Player of the Month for March after back-to-back top-five performances for the Eagles at their pair of invitationals to start the spring season, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
Ensign started off the spring at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational, helping lead Post to a second-place finish, after shooting even with par, which landed him fourth overall in the event. Only a week later, the senior netted his second win of the year, finishing even with par again after a four-under-par finish in day one of the Charger Challenge, while the Eagles finished fourth.
Ensign was a three-time CACC Player of the Week honoree during the fall, as well as made the CACC Honor Roll once in a stretch that saw him play in the top three in four of the six fall events that Post participated in. In eight total events played, Ensign has only finished outside the top 10 once so far this season, with two spring invitationals to go ahead of NCAA Regionals in May.
Post University's penultimate event of the spring will come in two weeks from now when they head to Candia, New Hampshire, for the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational starting on Monday, April 14th.
