ORLANDO, Fla. – Sophomore
Braden Shea capped off his solid beginning to the spring season with a two-under-par event down at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational to start the week as Post University Men's Golf started off their spring on a high-note, finishing in second place as a team behind only Adelphi University, who closed the two days with a five-under-par for the invite win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Shea ended round one at three-under-par and, following a one-over-par finish in day two, ended up tied for second along with Mitchell Archer from Adelphi, who led the pack after day one at four-under-par, one ahead of Shea. Francis Lanuza from the Panthers ended up taking the individual crown after going five-under-par in round two, just a day after finishing even on the course.
Senior
Joe Ensign stayed consistent from round one to round two, finishing even in both of his rounds this week, which was good for a fifth-place finish and four strokes ahead of junior
Miles Maresch in 11th place at four-over-par. Maresch finished round two even with par after going four-over-par in round one to land in his respective spot.
Sophomore
Flo Schimek and junior
Nathan Leonard were two strokes off the pace of each other as Schimek was a six-over-par in a tie for 15th place compared to Leonard in a 20th-place tie at eight-over-par. Both Schimek and Leonard saw improvement in their scores from the first round as they went two-over-par and one-over-par, respectively. Playing as an independent for Post, freshman
Brandon Frye lowered his score from an 11-over-par to an eight-over-par for a total of 19-over-par in the invite, finishing 36th overall.
When all was set and done for the Eagles, their performance saw them close at seven-over-par in second place behind Adelphi's team score of five-under-par, while holding an edge of seven strokes on third-place Bentley University at 14-over-par. Franklin Pierce University would close at 26-over-par in third while the B Team for Bentley was fifth at 31-over-par. Saint Anselm College's two teams would place sixth and seventh, with the A Team at 41-over-par and the B Team at 70-over-par.
