ORLANDO, Fla. -- Returning to the links for the first time since the Post Eagles Invitational in October, Post University Men's Golf kicked off the spring portion of their season on Tuesday down in Orlando, Florida on the Eagle Creek Golf Club course for the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational. Following the lone round of the day, Post sat in second place at five-over-par as sophomore
Braden Shea currently stands on stroke off the lead at three-under-par for the invite.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Shea's three-under-par performance led the way for the Eagles in second overall while senior
Joe Ensign sat close behind tied for fifth place after shooting even in the round. Adelphi's Mitchell Archer currently leads the field at four-under-par while Seth Saffell of Franklin Pierce University and Jake Napoli of Bentley University round out the top three from the first round.

Miles Maresch and sophomore
Flo Schimek were the next two Eagles on the leaderboard, finishing tied for 18th at four-over-par followed by junior
Nathan Leonard at seven-over-par in a tie for 26th place. Playing as an independent for Post was freshman
Brandon Frye, rounding out the six players for the team at the invite, tied for 38th after going 11-over-par.
Post as a team currently resides in second place at five-over-par while Adelphi University leads the pack at three-under-par with the aforementioned Archer leading for the individual crown. In third, Bentley University is two strokes off of the Eagles at seven-over-par followed by Franklin Pierce University in fourth at 11-over-par. Bentley's B Team (+18), Saint Anselm College (+23), and the B Team for Saint Anselm College (+31) round out the seven-team competition which will resume tomorrow morning at 7:45 AM.
