WATERBURY, Conn. -- After qualifying for their first NCAA National Championship since the 2011-12 season last year, Post University Men's Golf will have a chance to make it two consecutive years in the big dance as they are "In Consideration" for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship as announced by the NCAA DII Men's Golf Committee last Friday.
The Eagles are one of 11 teams from the East Region that are in consideration for the 10 available bids spanning across the eight total regions of NCAA Division II Men's Golf. Of those 11 teams, Goldey-Beacom College has already secured an automatic bid after winning their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship in the fall while six total conference members are in contention on the list.Â
The spring slate of competition for Post University kicks off next week with the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational on March 24th and 25th before the Eagles travel to the Dominican (N.Y.) Spring Invitational the week after. In April, Post will head to the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational and 2025 Penmen Season Finale in back-to-back weeks before preparing for the 2025 NCAA East Regional in Erie, Pennsylvania from May 8th through May 10th.
The field for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship will be announced a short while after that on April 25th before the championship takes place in mid-May at the PGA National Golf Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.Â
