WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time in the history of the Post University Women's Ice Hockey program, a pair of Eagles were recognized with the TSR New England Women's Hockey Alliance Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month honors as senior forward Julia Wysocki and freshman forward Rowyn Ringor earned the two respective awards late Wednesday afternoon. Junior goalie Hannah Saunders made her first-ever appearance on the Goalie of the Month Honor Roll as well for the month of January as announced by the league office.

Julia Wysocki - Player of the Month - Women's Ice Hockey

Wysocki finished as a +9 on the ice this past month and had three consecutive games in which she scored two goals which came in back-to-back games against Saint Michael's College and once against Franklin Pierce University. Wysocki recorded a point in eight of the nine games played while helping the Eagles to a 5-4-0 record during January.

Rowyn Ringor - Rookie of the Month - Women's Ice Hockey
Ringor did a little bit of everything for the Eagles during their nine games in January, scoring three times and assisting on seven goals for a total of 10 points this month while also being a +10 on the ice. Ringor recorded points in six of the nine games that Post played in mixed in there were four multi-point games against RIT, Saint Michael's College, Franklin Pierce University, and Saint Anselm College. On February 1st, Ringor's assist was the 13th of the season which gave her the single-season program record for the Eagles, surpassing Kiersten Browning's mark of 12 assists during the 2022-23 season.

Hannah Saunders - Honor Roll (Goalie of the Month) - Women's Ice Hockey
Saunders had a stellar month in net for the Eagles, going 4-4-0 for the Eagles with a 2.03 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage while allowing just 16 goals across 478:48 minutes in the eight games of action she saw. Saunders tallied a total of 230 saves between the pipes for Post while also picking up her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season against Assumption University and Saint Anselm College. The junior allowed two goals or less in four of her eight outings, all of which were wins for the Eagles who moved into sixth place in the conference by the end of the month.

Post University has a home-and-home series slated for next weekend against Stonehill College in which they will play on the road on Friday night at 6:00 PM before returning home on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM.
