Rowyn Ringor and Hannah Saunders Named to NEWHA Honor Roll for Women's Ice Hockey

WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the fourth time this season, junior goalie Hannah Saunders was named to the New England Women's Hockey Alliance Weekly Honor Roll while freshman forward Rowyn Ringor earned her third Honor Roll recognition for Post University Women's Ice Hockey as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Rowyn Ringor - Honor Roll (Rookie of the Week) - Women's Ice Hockey
Ringor marked her name in the Eagles' record books this weekend after scoring one goal and adding one assist for a total of two points in a 1-1 weekend against Saint Anselm College for Post. Recording her goal and assist in Saturday's 3-0 win against the Hawks, Ringor's assist was the 13th of the season for her which helped her pass Kiersten Browning's single-season record of 12 assists set during the 2022-23 season.

Hannah Saunders - Honor Roll (Goalie of the Week) - Women's Ice Hockey
Saunders had a stellar weekend between the pipes for the Eagles, going 1-1-0 against Saint Anselm College. After allowing three first-period goals on Friday evening, Saunders settled in and did not allow a goal for the remainder of the weekend, playing a total of 118:31 minutes, allowing those three early goals, making 64 saves, and finishing with a 1.52 goals-against average as well as a .955 save percentage. Saunders recorded a 3-0 shutout win on Saturday over the Hawks, making 29 saves in 60 minutes for her fifth shutout of the season and the seventh of her career which are both program records for the Eagles.

Post University has a home-and-home series slated for next weekend against Stonehill College in which they will play on the road on Friday night at 6:00 PM before returning home on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM. The Eagles split the last home-and-home series this season against the Skyhawks back in November, winning in shutout fashion at home, 1-0, before falling 3-0 on the road.
