Rowyn Ringor earned her fourth NEWHA Rookie of the Week, and senior forward
Julia Wysocki was named to the Honor Roll for Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Angeline Pitter - Defensive Player of the Week - Women's Ice Hockey
Setting the program record for most assists in a single game, Pitter had three assists in Friday's 3-2 win for the Eagles in what was their first-ever victory against LIU in program history. Pitter assisted on all three goals in the win en route to a three-point week while being a +2 on the ice as the Eagles split the home-and-home weekend with the Sharks.
Rowyn Ringor - Rookie of the Week - Women's Ice Hockey
Ringor added another goal and two more assists this week for the Eagles in their two games against LIU. In their 5-3 loss on Thursday, Ringor picked up an assist before scoring the first goal of the game on Friday as well as assisting on the third goal, which proved to be the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory for Post. Ringor finished the week in total with one goal, two assists, and three total points while being a +3 on the ice.
Julia Wysocki - Honor Roll (Player of the Week) - Women's Ice Hockey
Wysocki made history for the Eagles during a split weekend against LIU in the home-and-home series. Wysocki became the program's all-time leader in single-season and career goals on Thursday after scoring two in the 5-3 loss to the Sharks with 16 goals this year and 30 goals in her career. Adding one more on Friday in a 3-2 win for the Eagles, their first in program history against LIU, Wysocki closed the week with three goals and three points as well as being a +3 on the ice.
Post University finishes out the regular season with one final home-and-home series against Sacred Heart University starting next Friday down in Fairfield, Connecticut, at 7:00 PM. The Eagles swept past the Pioneers for the first time in program history, shutting them out at home, 3-0, before winning in a shootout on the road before the winter break.
