WATERBURY, Conn. -- Another perfect week for Post University Men's Soccer has them continuing to climb in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll released on Tuesday afternoon, as the Eagles moved up one more spot from 14th to 13th, as announced by the organization.
Remaining unbeaten through eight matches, Post holds a 4-0-4 record to start the season, which is its best start to a campaign since 2011. Playing two matches this past week, the Eagles worked a scoreless tie against Dominican (N.Y.) at home during the middle of the week, before graduate midfielder
Luis Rodrigues' hat trick over the weekend against Holy Family University led Post to a 3-1 victory.
As a result of their performances, freshman defender
Agnaldo Germano was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, while Rodrigues and junior goalkeeper
Leopold Dufaut were both named to the CACC Honor Roll.
Post University returns from Pennsylvania to face Wilmington University, which was ranked 23rd in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll this past week, at LaMoy Field on Saturday at 3:30 PM. The Eagles have won four consecutive matches against the Wildcats since the 2022 season, including their CACC Semifinals thriller last fall at home when they overcame a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win to advance to the CACC Championship.
