Men's Soccer Under Consideration for 2025 NCAA DII Men's Soccer Championship

WATERBURY, Conn. -- In the first set of NCAA Regional Rankings released by the committee this week, Post University Men's Soccer was one of 12 teams listed in consideration to host the NCAA DII Men's Soccer Championship Tournament. The committee announced the teams in alphabetical order on Wednesday afternoon, in their first of three rankings in the weeks to come. Alongside the Eagles, fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team Wilmington University was also under consideration.

The news came just hours before Post took the pitch for its matchup with Caldwell University, which they would win 2-0 to lock up a top two spot in the CACC Tournament in just over a week. The Eagles have two more regular-season matches remaining, including one in conference play, while currently sitting at an unbeaten 6-0-7, giving them the best unbeaten start in program history.

Post University will hold its Senior Day on Saturday afternoon before the match against Georgian Court University at 3:30 PM on LaMoy Field, which will round out the home regular-season schedule and conference slate of matches. The Eagles have won five consecutive matches against the Lions dating back to the 2019 season, scoring three-plus goals in each of the last four. A win for Post would give them the CACC Regular Season Championship for the fifth straight year, as would a loss or tie by the University of Bridgeport on Saturday against Chestnut Hill College.

The next set of regional rankings is set to come out on November 5th and then again on November 12th, with both of them being listed in rank order. The NCAA will announce the 40-team field for the 2025 Division II Men's Soccer Championship on Monday, November 17. Super-Region 1 will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference, Mountain East Conference, Northeast-10 Conference, and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, plus five at-large berths.
