WATERBURY, Conn. -- Earning the first weekly award of the season for Post University Women's Ice Hockey, freshman forward Georgia Stevens was named the New England Women's Hockey Alliance Rookie of the Week after her performance over the weekend against Franklin Pierce University, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Stevens scored her first collegiate goal as well as tacked on her first collegiate assist on Saturday afternoon, helping Post to their first win of the season, 3-2, over Franklin Pierce University. Stevens helped senior forward Rylee Patfield score the first goal of the contest before scoring the go-ahead goal in the second period as part of a stretch of three unanswered goals for the Eagles.

Post University enters its final two non-conference games of the season next weekend as it takes on Holy Cross in a home-and-home on Friday and Sunday. Playing on the road on Friday, puck drop for the first-ever matchup between the two programs is set for 7:00 PM.
