JERICHO, N.Y. -- Closing out the fall portion of their season, Post University Men's Golf placed fourth in the Adelphi Panther Invitational on Thursday, led by graduate student
Joe Ensign, who finished tied for fourth after the two-round event at 10-over-par, while host school Adelphi University won by 29 strokes over Hofstra University with a 33-over-par finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Francis Lanuza of Adelphi was the individual winner, finishing five-over-par and three strokes ahead of Hofstra's Hank Kancher at eight-over-par, who also tied with Lanuza's teammate Mitchell Archer. Ensign was tied for fourth with his 10-over-par finish with Johnny Solari from Adelphi, two strokes back of that second-place tie and five strokes away from Lanuza.
Tying for 14th overall were both junior
Braden Shea and senior
Nathan Leonard at 17-over-par, after they both finished seven-over-par and eight-over-par, respectively, in the first round before sliding in the second round to 10-over-par and nine-over-par. Freshman
Luis Reina was not far off the duo, playing as an independent entry, and finishing 19-over-par with a 14-over-par first round but a five-over-par second round.
Fellow freshman
Phillip Granum was tied for 32nd overall at 26-over-par, sliding from a 12-over-par to a 14-over-par between rounds, while junior
Flo Schimek also saw a two-stroke increase in between his two rounds, tying for 39th overall at 30-over-par.
