Scotty Swain Named NE10 Men's Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week for Second Time this Season

WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time in 2025 and the second time overall this season, freshman forward Scotty Swain has been named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for Post University Men's Ice Hockey as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Swain led the Eagles with three goals in three games this week as Post went 2-1-0 in conference play with wins over Franklin Pierce University, 3-1, and Southern New Hampshire University, 5-1. Swain was responsible for the first goal in the game against the Ravens before scoring two on Friday against the Penmen, including an empty netter, to secure the first win in their last nine games for Post in the all-time series. Swain finished the week as a +4 on the ice with three points.

Post University heads on the road for the next two weekends starting off with two games at Saint Anselm College on Friday and Saturday of next week. The two teams will drop the puck at 6:00 PM on Friday evening before returning to the ice at 3:00 PM on Saturday. The Eagles split their two-game home set against the Hawks earlier this season as both teams emerged with 4-3 wins.
