ENFIELD, N.H. -- In familiar territory back in the Granite State, Post University Men's Golf kicked off the first round of action in the Penmen Invitational at the Montclam Golf Club on Monday afternoon, finishing day one in sixth place at 20-over-par and 17 strokes back of Assumption University's A Team who sits in first place at three-over-par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior
Joe Ensign once again is leading the pack of five Eagle golfers as he is currently tied for 13th place at three-over-par and sits six strokes back of the leader, Kyle Puchol of Assumption University, who is three-under-par. Last week at the Granite State Opener, Ensign made up ground down the stretch for a top-three finish and will look to do so again in round two tomorrow.
A pair of Eagles were not too far back of Ensign either as senior
Amal Jha finished four-over-par tied for 18th place and junior
Nathan Leonard was tied for 21st place at five-over-par. Sophomore
Braden Shea was the next registered golfer of the top five for Post, placing 34st on day one with an eight-over-par score followed by sophomore
Flo Schimek in 39th place at 11-over-par.
Freshman
Brandon Frye also played in his first event for the Eagles, registered independently and tying for 27th at six-over-par after round one. In the overall team scores, Post sits just 11 strokes back of Southern New Hampshire in second place while being 2-5 strokes away from being in the top three.
