Joe Ensign was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Co-Player of the Week from Post University Men's Golf after his second-place finish at the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational this week as announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.
Ensign got off to a strong start for Post University Men's Golf this week at the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational, shooting two-over-par across the two-day, two-round tournament to finish second overall. Ensign finished only behind Mitchell Archer of Adelphi University, who won the event with an even score. Ensign shot a 72, two-over-par on day one of the invite which put him in a tie for seventh overall before coming back to shoot a 70 overall, even with par on day two to remain at two-over-par for the event. Ensign jumped multiple players including round one leader Riley Reardon, who entered day two with a three-stroke lead to get to his second-place finish.
Post University returns to the links next Monday in the first round of the SNHU Granite State Opener set to take place at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, New Hampshire. Round two is currently scheduled for that Tuesday.Â
