TOWNSEND, Mass. -- Senior
Joe Ensign shot even from the course in the second day of the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational, earning himself a two-over-par finish to take second place in the event as Post University Men's Golf closed out the second round in seventh place at 42-over-par while fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team Wilmington University took first place at 29-over-par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ensign entered the day in the top 10 after a two-over-par finish in round one on Monday before putting together and even round two that netted him a 142 overall to come in just behind Adelphi's Archer Mitchell in first place at 140 which was good for even par on the course. First round leader from Saint Anselm College Riley Reardon, finished fourth behind Ensign with a three-over-par tournament tied with Bentley's Chris Huban for the spot.
Senior
Amal Jha jumped up the leaderboard into 20th overall after improving on his eight-over-par finish in round one, shooting a 72 to bring him to 10-over-par for the two-day event at 150 strokes. After him, junior
Miles Maresch and freshman Florian Schimek were nearly back-to-back with Maresch placing 37th at 17-over-par and Schimek in 39th at 18-over-par. Maresch shot three strokes higher than day one while Schimek dropped 12 strokes off his round one total, scoring a 73 in round two.
Junior
Nathan Leonard rounded out the five for Post with a 55th-place finish at 22-over-par, going for an 82 on day two after his 80 on day one for a total score of 162.
The Eagles finished 13 strokes off the winning Wildcats while falling 11 strokes or fewer from second through sixth place ahead of them. Saint Anselm College finished just ahead of Post in sixth, five strokes ahead of them at 597 for the invitational.
