WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time this season, Post University Women's Ice Hockey has a New England Women's Hockey Alliance Rookie of the Week as freshman forward
Rowyn Ringor recieved the honor on Tuesday afternoon as announced by the league office.
Ringor scored her first collegiate goal for the Eagles on Friday evening against Assumption University before continuing her momentum into Saturday afternoon with two more goals for the Eagles. While Post would lost 3-2 and 7-3 against the Greyhounds, Ringor would net two power-play goals on Saturday to follow-up her Friday performance to finish the weekend with three goals and three points.
Post University has a two-game road trip scheduled for next weekend against Saint Anselm College starting on Friday night at 6:00 PM up in Manchester, New Hampshire. The two teams last saw each other in the NEWA Tournament Quarterfinals in which the Hawks came out on top in three games over the Eagles who got their first-ever postseason win in game two, 2-1.
