HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
Ensign's seventh-place finish was the lowest the senior has finished in a meet this year, placing in the top three for the first three meets that Post attended this fall. After finishing seven-over-par to end day one, Ensign came back with a five-over-par round three that placed him in a tie for seventh with Bruno Pardo from Dominican (N.Y.) and as the top golfer for the Eagles at the CACC Tournament.Â
Senior
Amal Jha also had a strong close to his final CACC Tournament as an Eagle, placing 10th overall with a 15-over-par after going five-over-par in his final round. Sophomores
Flo Schimek and
Braden Shea tied with each other at 22nd overall each finishing at 28-over-par as Schimek closed with a four-over-par final round while Shea was at 10-over-par to close things out.Â
Both freshman
Brandon Frye and junior
Miles Maresch did not qualify for the leaderboard as they were subbed in for each other per the new rules at the conference tournament and did not play a full three rounds of golf over the two days. Alexander Lundvall from Dominican (N.Y.) won the CACC Individual Championship with a two-over-par tournament just ahead of Wilmington's Sacha Brown at four-over-par.Â
