WATERBURY, Conn. -- After just her fourth weekend of collegiate hockey, freshman defenseman Caryss Kehl was named the New England Women's Hockey Alliance Defensive Player of the Week as well as to the NEWHA Rookie of the Week Honor Roll while junior forward Maddy Noonan was named to the Honor Roll for NEWHA Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Kehl had a weekend to remember for the Eagles against Franklin Pierce University, helping the Post defense on the third line allow only five goals this weekend, Kehl was an even plus/minus on the ice while tallying the game-winning goal on Saturday in overtime for Post in their 3-2 victory. It was the freshman's first collegiate goal and first game-winning goal in only her eighth game of action as a college athlete.

Maddy Noonan - Honor Roll (Player of the Week) - Women's Ice Hockey
 Noonan netted a pair of goals this weekend for the Eagles who split their home-and-home series with Franklin Pierce University to move to 2-2 in conference play. The junior got the equalizer on Friday in a game Post would ultimately drop 3-2 against the Ravens before coming back the next night on the road to tie the game at two towards the end of regulation in a game the Eagles would come back to win in overtime, 3-2. The junior finished the week with two goals, two points, and a +1 on the ice.

Post University will square off in another home-and-home series next weekend starting on Friday against Assumption University at home at 8:00 PM at the Sports Center of Connecticut's Upper Rink in Shelton, Connecticut. In their first four matchups in program history last season, the Eagles went 1-2-1 against the Greyhounds with the one win coming in overtime, 3-2, as part of three games that went to overtime between the two sides.
