Omar Florindo - Defensive Player of the Week - Men's Soccer
Florindo played a key part in the lone match of the week for the Eagles, playing in all 90 minutes against Jefferson University on Friday afternoon, a game in which Post would shut out the Rams and win in close fashion, 1-0. While also recording a shot offensively, Florindo played in all 90 minutes, the third time in which he has done so this year, while anchoring the Post defense that allowed just six shots overall and two on goal to Jefferson en route to their second shutout of the season overall which was also their second consecutive in as many games as well as in conference.
Andrea Berti - Honor Roll - Men's Soccer
Andrea Berti was the difference maker for Men's Soccer in that 1-0 win over Jefferson University on Friday afternoon. Berti had the lone goal of the affair on an assist from graduate midfielder
Nick Anagnostiadis in the 57
th minute to help put the Eagles up for good. The goal was the third of Berti's career, all three of which the midfielder has recorded have been game-winning goals for Post University over the last two seasons.
Caley Harper - Honor Roll - Women's Volleyball
Caley Harper continued to lead the way for Post University Women's Volleyball helping lead the team to a 1-1 week in conference play with a road victory over Caldwell University. Harper continued her dominance on the attack, recording double-digit kills for the fifth straight match after notching 12 against the Cougars and then 12 more against Dominican (N.Y.) at home. Against the Lady Chargers, the junior also recorded 10 digs, the second time in the last three games in which she has tallied double-digit digs. Harper finished the week going 24-for-62 on attacks for a .226 hitting percentage while totaling 19 receptions, 13 digs, and four block assists.
