Caitlin DeAngelis had five hits including a homer during a Post University softball doubleheader split with American International College (AIC). The Eagles won game one, 5-2, before dropping game two, 8-1.
THe Eagles are now 13-31 on the season, while AIC is 6-32.
In game one, the Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead as DeAngelis hit a one out double to start the rally. After a walk to

Allyson Wallauer ripped a double to score DeAngelis to a 1-0. A ball off the bat of
Julianna Cicala that resulted in a throwing error allowed Tomasiello to score and a
Courtney Brobst sacrifice fly made it a 3-0 game.
With two outs in the second
Leyri Rivera and DeAngelis hit back-to-back singles and Tomasiello drove them both home with a double, putting the Eagles up, 5-0.
AIC got on the board with a solo homer from Kodi Gora and added one more in the bottom of the fifth, but left the bases loaded.
DeAngelis added her second double in the sixth as she finished the game 3-for-4 with two runs. Tomasiello was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run.
Maddison Caldwell pitched a complete game for the Eagles allowing just wto earned runs on ten hits and a walk.
In game two, DeAngelis kicked off the game with a leadoff homer, her fourth of the season, but it would be the lone run for the Eagles as AIC scored three in the bottom of the second, including a two-run double by Abigail Wells and four more in the third, highlighted by a two-run single from Leah Twyman.
Post threatened to score in the third, but left runners on second and third.
DeAngelis finished with two hits in the game, as did Wallauer.
The Eagles get back into Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play on Saturday as they travel to Goldey-Beacom for a doubleheader against the Lightning, beginning at 10 a.m.
