Goldsboro, N.C. – The Post University men's golf team finished in third place with a 21-over par 885 three-round score in The Trojan on Tuesday at the par 72 Walnut Creek Country Club.
The Eagles finished a shot ahead of Saint Thomas Aquinas (STAC). Mount Olive's B team won the event with a 6-under par 858, followed by Indiana University of Pennsylvania who was 17-over par.
Amal Jha and
Jace Carlisle were the top finishers for the Eagles, both tying for 12
th with a 6-over par 222. Jha shot a 77 in the final round and had two birdies on the day. Carlisle, who shot a final round 76 also had two birdies.
Bill Koch had a 10-over par 226, tying him for 25
th.
Ethan Phillips finished a stroke behind Koch, shooting a 75 in the final round.
Miles Maresch had a 14-over par 230.
Rasmus Ronnberg of Mount Olive was the medalist after a 6-under par 210, including a 69 on Tuesday. He finished a stroke ahead of Nolan Skaggs of STAC.
