Caisey Van Den Oetelaar took Defensive Player of the Week while freshman forward
Macy Peterson was named to the Rookie of the Week Honor Roll from Post University Wmen's Ice Hockey as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Caisey Van Den Oetelaar - Defensive Player of the Week
Van Den Oetelaar had a strong four-game start to the season against a pair of heavyweight opponents in Mercyhurst University and Syracuse University from the College Hockey America Conference. In the second game of the season against the Lakers, Van Den Oetelaar recorded a team-high and career-high four blocked shots en route to a four-game stretch in which she blocked nine total shots which currently leads the team.
Macy Peterson - Rookie of the Week Honor RollÂ
Peterson scored her first collegiate goal against Syracuse University this past weekend for the Eagles as well as tacked on her first collegiate assist. Peterson tallied two total points over the last two weeks for Post University while stringing together eight shots, three blocked shots, and 11 face-off wins to start the year. Both of the freshman's points would come via power play opportunities on last Saturday's during a 3-2 loss to the Orange.

Post University returns to the ice for a weekend series against Stonehill College in 10 days, on October 13th and 14th with game times scheduled for 5:00 and 1:00 PM for that Friday/Saturday matchup.Â
