Alyssa Groves took home Defensive Player of the Week while junior middle hitter
Hannah Brandt was named to the CACC Honor Roll for the second time this season as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Alyssa Groves - Defensive Player of Week - Women's Volleyball
Groves anchored the reception team for Post, recording 62 digs during a 2-1 stretch for the Eagles against conference opponents. With those 62 digs, Groves would average 5.64 digs per set while also adding eight assists and three service aces to total up three points for the Eagles.
Hannah Brandt - Honor Roll - Women's Volleyball
Brandt paced the Eagles to a 2-1 week, including a pair of conference wins over Caldwell University at home and a five-set comeback win against Dominican (N.Y.) on the road. The junior led the way with 28 kills on 58 total attempts for a .276 hitting percentage as well as six blocks (three solo, three assisted). Brandt also set the season record and a career-high for most service aces in a match with eight against Caldwell, en route to a 3-0 win, before finishing the week with 12 total services for an average of 1.09 service aces per set. Brandt would finish the week with 44.5 total points for the Eagles as well as contributed five digs.
