Waterbury, CT - The defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division Regular Season Champion Post University baseball team was selected to finish second in the North in 2023 as the conference released its Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Eagles received 51 voting points, including three first place votes. Felician was selected to win the North with 56 voting points.
Dominican was selected third with 37 voting points, while the University of Bridgeport (34), Bloomfield (24) and Caldwell (23) rounded out the North Division.
In the South Division, defending CACC Tournament Champions Wilmington was selected to repeat as South Division champions, receiving 50 voting points and received ten of the 11 first place votes. Jefferson was picked second with 41 voting points with one first place vote. Goldey-Beacom received 31 voting points, followed by Chestnut Hill (24) and Alliance (14).
Last season, the Eagles finished 25-27 overall and 17-8 in the CACC, earning the North Division title for the third time in program history. The Eagles advanced to the CACC Championship game against Wilmington.
Post opens up its season on February 10 in Charleston, S.C. with a four-game series against Saint Anselm. The Eagles' first CACC game will be at Dominican on March 23 at 3:30 p.m.
