Waterbury, Conn. – David Mollenthiel was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week while Antoine Trifonov was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll after the Eagles went 2-0 during the week.
Post defeated Southern New Hampshire University, 1-0 on September 7 in its home opener before shutting out Holy Family, 2-0 in the CACC opener.
Against SNHU, Mollenthiel stopped all three shots he faced, while Trifonov anchored the defense.
In the win over Holy Family, Mollenthiel stopped five more shots while Trifinov scored the game-winner in the in the 61st minute on a header off a corner kick from Carles Aliberch. It was the first goal of the season for Trifonov and the second game-winning goal of his career.
For Mollenthiel, the program's all-time leader in wins with 25 now has 14 shutouts in his career, also a school record.
